Creating a culture of mindfulness at work can dramatically impact the efficiency and effectiveness of your team. Human Resources professionals are in a great position to help change the workplace culture by making a commitment to incorporating some mind training into the organization. This kind of change leads to many benefits, including a happier and more productive workforce.
My guest this week is Marissa Afton. She’s a Director and Senior Consultant for the Potential project, an international organization providing organizational effectiveness programs based on mindfulness for more than 10 years.
Marissa is an organizational psychologist, executive coach, and corporate trainer. She has extensive experience in the field of workplace health, safety, and well-being, and has lead cultural change initiatives in organizations spanning 10 countries and 4 continents. Her journey to mindfulness-based practices began over 20 years ago while teaching at the J. Krishnamurti Foundation school in India. A graduate of Naropa University in Boulder, CO, she has been a practitioner of Vipassana for over 10 years.
