#MindfulSocial Chat Instilling empathy into your business is about clearly understanding your customer. It’s about aligning the entire customer experience with the path of least friction, being mindful of their interests.  That’s great if you’re a mom and pop business with a small customer base, but what if you’re an international brand? Is empathy for your customer scaleable? Should we care? (YES!)

This week on MindfulSocial chat we’re chatting with Adam Helweh. Adam is a steadfast geek, foodie and connoisseur of creativity. He is also the CEO and founder of Secret Sushi, a strategic design & digital marketing agency in Silicon Valley. He specializes in the convergence of design, technology and thoughtful experiences to provide businesses with more intelligent ways to connect with customers. He’s worked with clients such as Edelman, Broadcom, Stanford Federal Credit Union, the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, Bunchball and others.
Adam wrote a series of posts on Social Media Explorer outlining his thoughts on the importance of empathy for the customers and employees too and how that can be done effectively to make your business more successful.

We’ll talk this week about empathy in business, especially on social media and marketing. Join in the fun at 10AM, Tuesday June 30 on Twitter with the hashtag #MindfulSocial. Bring your own ideas about customer relations and empathy!

Our good friend Bryan Kramer has a new book “Shareology” on Amazon and to celebrate we’ll give away a printed copy of the book at the end of the chat, so join us and tweet often with the hashtag #MindfulSocial and we’ll draw a winner at the end at random from people who participate!

How does this work?
A Twitter chat is an open forum. I will ask  questions around incorporating mindfulness practices into our work as marketers and how that affects and informs our work and relationships with our following. Any and all are welcome to join in and answer in your own way or ask your own questions about mindfulness, marketing, or anything else that comes to mind. Your voice is as important as ours here. Be sure to tag everything with the hashtag #MindfulSocial so everyone sees your responses in the chat.

Never participated in a Tweet chat?
No problem.  All you need to do is follow  @secretsushi and me, @Jfouts. Then show up at 10AM Pacific time on Twitter and follow the hashtag #MindfulSocial to watch live or tweet with us.  Learn more with my guide to Twitter chats. Most of all have fun and maybe learn something new!
