Creating a vibrant and engaged online community takes a skilled community manager. One who balances the needs of the community members with the needs of the organization it represents. It takes a certain lack of self at times, to put the community first and our own agendas second. A strong community manager though, she can take it all in and remain true to her own values, keep conversations moving, deal with trolls and malcontents and nurture the conversations to help the community thrive.
